Takin' the Sleds for a Spin

So we got a TON of snow here in Philly this weekend! AWESOME!!! Some areas in Philly got up to 23 inches. We were basically snowed in from Saturday until Monday. Our car was half buried! We don't have a snow shovel so Ben got to work with his bucket and was out there for hours clearing the path and trying to dig out the car. what a good man:) He had to dig out the car again this morning because the snow plow decided to FINALLY come and pushed all the snow back onto our car...sooooo, Claira stayed home from school today. I don't even know if school was cancelled...some other schools were, so it's justified enough.

my loves

Ahh I love wintertime. Snow angels!
We were pleasantly surprised by the new mural painted on the underpass at the park. Normally we find it graffiti laden and creepy...we actually walked by last summer when we were on a walk and interrupted some thugs actively spray painting... but it turned out they weren't so thuggish after all...they said hello and gave Dylan a high-five like this guy.

Claira decided she was big and awesome enough to go on a solo sled ride this year. It was a love/hate experience for her. She loved going down the hill, but hated getting snow in her face. We gotta get her a ski mask! Heck, we should all get some! I just love the idea of being practical and creepy all at the same time:)

Last Sunset of Fall

A few Saturdays ago I took the kids outside for their final fall frolic (say that 5 times fast) at the park across the street. The air was crisp, cold, and refreshing... you could definitely tell winter was on it's way! It just so happens that it was time for the sun to set so I thought it would be fun to play with my camera phone and get some cute pictures of my babies in the leaves. I am absolutely in love with these two!

I'm also in love with my friend's amazing photography blog incorporating pretty sunlight...it's absolutely beautiful. She also has a sister who has a rockin' photography blog as well, who's actually going to be shooting Ben's sister's wedding next month! They're from our hometown...represent! Seriously, check them out you'll be amazed by their jaw-dropping talent and drooling over their pictures!!! Click here: Gena and Tonya
