Kehler's Gym

The past week we've had a great time spending time with Ben while he enjoyed time off school for Spring Break! I've been hearing a lot about this gym from friends and decided it was high time to check it out! It's a huge indoor jungle gym that kids & parents can play on together. It had slides, ball pits, nets, lots of climby things, tunnels, and huge workout balls that could take you out if one were to be thrown at you (hypothetically) : ) Parents get to play FREE, how sweet is that?! It was a really cheap, fun way to spend time together! We didn't see much of Claira while we were there, she was all over the place! My little legs couldn't keep up with her 5 year old energy! (Notice the one & only back-of-the-head picture of her!) Dylan was pretty freaked out by all of the unstable walking surfaces at first and wouldn't let go of Ben, but he warmed up pretty quick and loved it! My hamstrings were sore the next day from all that crawling and climbing! Good exercise! We'll be going again for sure!

Goblin Cheeks & Double Takes

Claira is always interested in what's going on in the kitchen. She loves watching and helping me cook and I love it! She's always good company, and today was no exception. As I was slicing a loaf of french bread today Claira was watching as if it were the coolest thing she's ever seen. She started giggling, and I was curious, so I asked her what was so funny? She said the bread squishes down funny when I slice it, and that it kinda looks like goblin cheeks! What?! I have no idea where she gets her ideas! But I think it's great!

Now it's Dylan's turn for funny moment of the day:) After dinner we wanted to splurge a bit being that it's Ben's last day of Spring Break (which I will blog about later!) So I asked Dylan if he wanted some little cakes or some ice cream. He did this crazy double take that deserved a Chester Cheetah "aiaiaiaiaiaiai". It was like his brain popped from that insanely cruel choice he had to make! Ben & I laughed for soooooooo long! It was too funny!

Bad Hair Day:)

Claira likes to get her hair all static-y by rubbing, rolling, and grinding her head all up ons and all up ins the couch . . . you should see it, it's great entertainment! This was by far her best to date, I mean look at that height! Thanks for being so fun Claira!

Goofy Sunday

Here are my little goofs all spiffed up for church and apparently hyped up as well!
Could not get this boy to look at the camera!
This photo shoot was much too long for Claira to bear;)
They love getting ready for church and putting their 'fancy' clothes on!

Forgiving Makes Us Happy

Ben showed me this picture he discovered that Claira drew a few weeks ago at church. We were in church when he showed it to me and I burst out laughing, I couldn't stop...all while the speaker was talking about paying attention or something...NICE. I'm such a great example! How could you not laugh? It is the most insane portrayal of happy people that I have ever seen, and I LOVE it! Claira you rock! I love your pictures!

Quite the Animal

Claira picks out a stuffed animal to sleep with every night before bed. She was especially excited about doing this today because she got some new stuffed animals from aunt Karina in the mail today! (Thanks Reen!) She had three to pick from and she offered one to Dylan, and one to me to sleep with. So I said, "No thanks, I sleep with Daddy, he's my stuffed animal!" then she said "Daddy's not a stuffed animal, he's a real animal!" I had a good laugh. Had to blog it up (as Claira would say). Love that girl! What would I do without her unintentional jokes everyday?!

Fun Fluffy Goodness...FINALLY!

We got TONS of snow last night and I made Ben go to the store and pick up some sleds after work and surprised the kids when they woke up this morning!
They were so excited! We went out right after breakfast and played at the awesome park we have right across the street from our house! Claira liked rolling around and making snow angels, we tried sledding and making snowmen but the snow is still really light and powdery so it didn't work too well. We had fun though!
Dylan sat out pretty much the whole time, he kept taking off his mittens and wondering why his hands were freezing! Poor guy, he wasn't enjoying the snow at all, so we had to cut our fun short for his sake:) maybe next year buddy;)
Look at that hill! We're gonna have some killer sledding going on when the snow packs down a little bit! What a beautiful park!
