We were finally able to make it down to the Washington D.C. Temple for the first time on Saturday for our ward temple day! It was really cool because the Primary held an activity for the primary kids so the parents could go to the temple, and there was also babysitting for nursery aged kids too, so we had no excuse not to go! It was a really fun day for Claira she was so excited to be able to see and touch the temple and tour the visitors center. The Primary leaders did an amazing job! We are so grateful to have this temple and will never take a temple for granted again...like in Utah when we could drive 5 minutes to the temple as opposed to 2 1/2 hours. it is such a beautiful temple! We had a wonderful time together as a family and ward, it really was an amazing day:) after our session we took the kids on a walk around the temple grounds and we saw a bunny and a deer just frolicking around! If you've never been here, the temple really is situated in a dense forest kind of area, you really can't see anything around the temple but thick trees, (and apparently bunnies and deer) it's so quiet and serene! We loved it!

miss you, Kelley
So fun! I love the pictures, especially Dylan's big smile! Such cuties! That really was a good trip, the kids had so much fun!
I love the D.C. temple! It just rises out of the trees as you drive up like a giant castle. So beautiful! What's your new calling since you're out of Nursery now?
Wow Kelley! How many years were you in there when they released you? was it 3? Aww sad! You were an AWESOME Primary pres!!!!!
Thanks for making it a wonderful day Teresa!!! You rock!
I totally agree Kara! Great description! I'm the Primary Chorister now! WOO HOO! I love it! it's sooooo fun!
you got out of nursery! :) woo hoo for sure...haha. The chorister would be fun, however I would not be good at that. You choristers are amazing, cause that would be hard for me. Yep it's been(almost) 3 years in the presidency. (You're sooo nice -I didn't feel like I was awesome)
I'm super jealous of all of your adventures out there. May as well take advantage while you're there.

(k -so I should have just emailed you, sorry for my ramblings :))
That is awesome and I agree it was great for primary to help. Just what Ben & you needed for a recharge after school.
